Seaside Showdown Series: Cape Spear Path
The event takes place on August 22, 2026, in St. John's, NL. It is a 9.3 course running from Maddox Cove to Cape Spear on the Cape Spear Path. The event is organized by Seaside Showdown Series.
Participants are expected to know the trail because the course is not flagged; volunteers will be positioned at key locations to help keep runners on the route. A GPX file is available on request to follow the route on a Garmin watch or other devices. The Seaside Showdown Series Strava club also provides route downloads.
Race registration includes a Parks Canada day pass fee of $7.65. There is parking at the starting line and overflow parking at Cape Spear National Historic Site; drop-off or carpooling is encouraged. Bib pick up occurs during check-in at the starting line.
Registrations and bib numbers cannot be transferred to other individuals. With advance notice, a registration can be moved to another Seaside Showdown Series race. If the event is cancelled, refunds (less service fees) or rollover registration will be offered. A season pass covering multiple series events is available.
