Zumbro Endurance Run

Theilman, United States • 10-11 Apr 2026

Event Overview

The Zumbro Endurance Run takes place in the Zumbro Bottoms Management Unit in Minnesota. This trail running event is organized by Rocksteady Running and features multiple long-distance categories held over two days. The course traverses the hardwood forests, limestone bluffs, and river bottoms of the region.

Participants navigate a variety of surfaces and terrain types typical of the Minnesota landscape, including singletrack trails, sand coulees, and sections of old railroad beds. The elevation profile includes significant climbs, such as the Scenic Overlook and Paddys Hill, as well as descents like Ant Hill. Depending on seasonal conditions in April, runners may encounter mud, snow, or dry trails.

Distance Options

The event offers four distinct race distances:

  • 100 Miles
  • 50 Miles
  • 34 Miles
  • 17 Miles

Logistics and Support

The race infrastructure includes several aid stations positioned along the route to provide supplies to runners. These stations are managed by volunteers and offer items such as bacon, doughnuts, and pizza. For the longer distances, the event continues through the night, necessitating the use of headlamps.

The finish area features a "Wall of Fame" where 100-mile finishers are recognized. Finishers of the various distances receive commemorative medals or buckles, specifically wood medals for some categories and buckles for those completing the 100-mile distance. The event follows a no-refund policy for registration. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
