Event overview

Storm the Farm is a trail running event at Briggs Outdoors in Winona, Minnesota on July 18, 2026. It is part of The Storm Trail Race Series and is ATRA Youth Trail Race certified. Pre-registration is required; there is no race-day registration. Dogs are not allowed on the property. The event is cupless: participants must bring a reusable cup, bottle, or hydration gear; silicone cups are available for purchase at check-in. There are no time cutoffs for the races.

The course is on private land at Briggs Outdoors and uses single-track trails, open prairies, and bluff terrain in the Driftless Region. The 10k+ loop includes two bluff climbs, a valley, and a crossing of Cedar Creek; repeating this loop produces the 21k, 30k, and 43k distances. The 5k uses one bluff climb and a mix of double-track and single-track valleys. Aid stations provide water, snacks, Gu, and orange-flavored Tailwind; the 5k passes Aid Station 1 twice. Camping is available Friday night for a fee; tent and small teardrop campers are allowed without hook-ups. Race shirts are available for purchase during registration for $20; the ordering cutoff is June 15, 2026. Donations from registration support Hiawatha Valley Mental Health Center youth programs.
