Yosemite Half Marathon

The Yosemite Half Marathon is a 13.1 miles point-to-point course near Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest, just outside Yosemite National Park. The route begins on wide fire roads and scenic trails, includes a long downhill section on pavement, and finishes with miles along the Bass Lake shoreline at Recreation Point. The published elevation change is approximately +304 ft gain and -2,285 ft loss.

The event is operated under a special use permit with the Sierra National Forest. Aid stations are cup free and placed near miles 3, 5, 7, 9, and 11; each station will provide bathrooms, water, electrolyte drink, and Honey Stinger energy gels, while miles 5 and 7 will also offer fruit. Because the race is cup free, runners must carry a reusable bottle, reusable cup, or a hydration pack to use on course.

Logistics include an expo and bib pickup at Recreation Point Group Campground, with options to pick up at the expo, on race morning, or have bibs shipped for a fee. There is no parking or drop off at the start line; shuttle service runs from Oakhurst and several Bass Lake area locations to the start, and spectators are encouraged to use Oakhurst parking and shuttles due to limited parking near the finish. Rd 222 Southshore Road will be closed during the event.

Awards use chip time for Overall and Masters categories; competitors must start in the BLUE wave to be eligible for overall awards. Place medals are given for top finishers and finisher medals are awarded to all finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
