Yosemite Trail Races
The Yosemite Trail Races take place in Bass Lake, California, offering participants the opportunity to run through the Sierra National Forest located outside Yosemite National Park. The event features three distinct trail distances that showcase the diverse terrain of the region, including forest service roads, rocky single-track paths, and large slabs of granite.
Participants navigate a course that includes significant elevation changes, characterized by sections of climbing followed by fast downhill stretches toward the end of the race. Depending on the chosen distance, the route may lead runners past giant sequoias, across rivers, and to the summits of granite plutons. The courses also provide expansive views of the surrounding valleys.
Available distances for the event include:
- 50 Mile
- 50K
- Half Marathon
The event provides a shuttle to the start, and all distances conclude at Bass Lake. Support is provided throughout the course with stocked aid stations, and the event organizers establish generous cutoff times for participants. Each runner receives race SWAG and a finisher medal upon completion. Bass Lake is located approximately one hour from Fresno and three and a half hours from San Francisco, situated near the south entrance of Yosemite National Park.
