The Yippee-Ki-Yay Races on October 24, 2026, offer three trail distances starting and finishing at the Iowa West Foundation Trail Head Park on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. The event comprises the following courses run as out-and-back routes on a converted rails-to-trails corridor with a fine crushed limestone surface.

Field size is limited to 200 runners with specific allocations: 50 spots for the 50K, 100 for the half marathon, and 50 for the 10K. Each race is chip timed and the event enforces a 9 hour course time limit. Trail conditions for the 50K are listed as roughly 90% rail trail and 10% pavement. Aid stations provide water, Honey Stinger sports drink and gels, and after about 10 miles there will be additional ultra food for 50K runners.

Entries are nonrefundable and nontransferable; a portion of each entry fee will be donated to the Wabash Trace Nature Trail. Packet pickup is scheduled the two days before the race including a published location at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Council Bluffs and there will be no race day packet pickup.
