Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run

Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run takes place on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Arrowhead Park near Neola, Iowa. The event supports the Pottawattamie County Trails Association and offers separate courses for adults and children.

The event is not a mud run and does not include mud pits. Obstacles on the 1 Mile and the 5K Open Wave are optional; course hills are fixed. The Competitive Wave requires completion of all obstacles to be eligible for top-10 finisher medals in the male and female divisions.

Registration and a signed waiver are required for anyone on the course. Registration includes park entrance, free parking, and free event photos that are posted after the run. Pricing varies by registration period: the 1 Mile is listed at $10 and $15 in September; the 5K is listed at $30 during May and June, $35 in July and August, and $40 in September. Day-of registration is available for higher fees and is cash only. An event T-shirt can be pre-ordered for $10 during registration; limited shirts may be available on the day of the event and pre-orders close on Tuesday, September 9.
