Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run

Arrowhead Obstacle Trail Run is scheduled for September 19, 2026 at Arrowhead Park near Neola, Iowa. The event features a main trail race and a separate kids course, and proceeds benefit the Pottawattamie County Trails Association.

Distances

  • 5K with 15+ obstacles, Competitive and Open waves
  • 1 Mile Kid's Course with 10+ obstacles, recommended ages 6-12

The event is not a mud run and contains no mud pits. Obstacles in the 1 Mile and the 5K Open Wave are optional except for the natural hills on the course. Competitive Wave entrants must complete all obstacles to be eligible for top ten finisher medals.

Registration and a signed waiver are required for anyone on the course. Registration includes park entrance, free parking, and free event photos that are posted after the run. Published entry prices include a $10 base fee for the 1 Mile and a tiered 5K fee that increases by month; day of event registration is more expensive and accepts cash only.

Event T-shirts are available for purchase during registration for a stated fee and are limited in quantity on the day of the event.
