Arrowhead Trail Run

The Arrowhead Trail Run takes place at Arrowhead Park near Neola, Iowa. The event features a marked 5k course through the park's grounds, offering participants views of the local lake and wooded areas. This is a non-profit event where all proceeds support the Pottawattamie County Trails Association.

Participants can choose from several event formats based on the core 5k loop:

  • 5k: A single lap of the trail course.
  • 10k: Two laps of the marked trail course.
  • 4 Hour Enduro: Participants complete as many 5k laps as possible within a four-hour window.

The 4 Hour Enduro includes access to an aid station and a drop bag area located at the Delbert's Den shelter, which runners pass on each lap. For this endurance category, final rankings are determined by the total number of laps completed, with ties broken by the fastest time recorded for that number of laps.

Medals are awarded to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers in the 5k, 10k, and Enduro categories. The event is open to those who wish to run, jog, or hike the trails. Participants have the option to pre-order an event t-shirt during the registration process. This event focuses exclusively on trail running and does not include obstacles.
