YHOA Night League - Bishop Wood takes place on Saturday 17th January. It is the first night league event of the new year. Entries close on 15th January. Enter by 11th January to guarantee a map; entries are subject to map availability after that date. Late entry fees apply from 12th January. Juniors are defined as under 21 on race day. Helpers can obtain a 50% discount by contacting the organiser for a helper discount code.

Courses and fees

Courses offered:

  • 5.4 km - Long course, Green standard
  • 3.7 km - Medium course, Light Green standard
  • 2.2 km - Short course, Orange/Yellow standard
  • 1.6 km - Introductory, non-competitive, for night novices and juniors

The short course will use features a little way off the tracks; some tracks may be unclear on the ground due to leaf cover. The very short course will remain on forest tracks.

Trail runs nearby

Lets Motor along the Towpath in Rodley is a canal-side trail event on a flat towpath with distances from 10k to ultramarathon. The course is signed and marshalled, has regular feed stations and a bespoke finisher medal.

Traverse the scenic Yorkshire Wolds starting from the Driffield Showground with 30 or 50 mile route options. Participants enjoy checkpoint support and a post event meal at this long distance walking and running event.

Trail races at Bramham Park on 12 April 2026 include 5km, 10km and a half marathon across estate trails and views. The event allows one controlled dog per runner and provides live chip timing and finisher medals.

A weekend running series along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal in Saltaire offering 5K, 10K and half marathon options, with a jumble medal, hot food and drink choices.
