Course, support, and logistics
Courses are rolling, mostly wooded single-track trails with lake views. The 5k, 10k, and 25k are single loops, and the 50k is two laps of the 25k. Aid stations are placed so distances between them range from 2 to 4 miles. The 10k has one aid station; the 25k has three aid stations, with one station visited twice by 25k runners; 50k runners also have a start/finish aid station. Aid stations will offer water, Gatorade, Coke, oranges, bananas, and sweet and salty snacks.
Pacers are allowed for 50k runners on the second 25k loop. Pacers will sign a waiver at the start/finish, may use aid station food and drinks, and are asked to step off the course before the finish line. The race fee includes a crew neck sweatshirt or buff; registering by December 8 guarantees a sweatshirt. Registration closes January 1. The finisher award for the winter race is a snow globe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
