Woodbridge Trail Run

Woodbridge, United States • 2 Nov 2025

Event details

The Woodbridge Trail Run + Woodland Walk takes place on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in Woodbridge, Connecticut at Alice Newton Street Park on Meetinghouse Lane. The event offers the following distances:

  • 4 Mile Trail Run
  • 2 Mile Woodland Walk

Course and facilities

The course uses trails through Alice Newton Street Park, one of Connecticut's oldest land trusts located in the center of Woodbridge. The trails include gravel, wood chips, and packed dirt with numerous areas of rocky terrain and exposed roots. The route passes over small streams and alongside the Wepawaug Brook and Wepawaug Falls.

The 4-mile event is a two-loop course with footing that ranges from easy to difficult and technical, and includes steep inclines and declines plus numerous optional bridge crossings. The 2-mile walk is an out-and-back to the falls on easier trails. All participants receive custom tech T-shirts. Refreshments are provided afterwards and an award ceremony follows. The event is the second annual edition and is a fundraiser for the park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
