Course, amenities and beneficiaries
The race uses trails at Brooksvale Park. The course can be flat and fast at times or may be leafy, rooty and rocky, with possible standing water. Organizers note generous cutoffs that allow walkers or hikers to complete the courses. Runners who sign up by November 8 will receive a screen printed tri-blend shirt and a handmade award; additional items are included in the event swag. Food provided at the event includes bagels, coffee and donuts, including maple bacon donuts from a nearby eatery.
The Brooksvale Park Gift Fund is the designated charity beneficiary. The fund is intended for park use, trail access, and educational opportunities related to animal stewardship, community gardens, beehives and multi-use fields.
