Lake Mohegan Women's Trail Race

The Lake Mohegan Women's Trail Race is a women's only trail running event organized by Steep Endurance and scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Lake Mohegan in Fairfield, Connecticut. The event is also open to non-binary runners and aims to raise awareness of trail running opportunities for women; recent editions attracted more than 125 participants.

Three distance formats are offered:

  • 5K loop
  • 10K (two loops of the 5K course)
  • 4 hour option to complete as many 5K loops as possible within the allotted time

The 5K loop is described as generally runnable with good footing and a few short, steep hill sections. Aid will be available at the start/finish station with water and/or SKRATCH electrolyte drink for 4 hour runners and 10K runners before their second loop; there is no on-course aid station for 5K runners. Events follow a cupless policy to reduce waste.

Race policies include mandatory adherence to the marked course, no littering, nontransferable bibs, and a strong recommendation to avoid personal music devices for safety. Entry fees range from $30 to $80 depending on registration period. There are no refunds or transfers of registrations. Finisher medals by Ragged Cuts and podium awards for the top three in each event are planned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
