Ridge Reaper Trail Runs

The Ridge Reaper Trail Runs take place in the Ward Pound Ridge Reservation, a preserve spanning over 4,000 acres in Cross River, New York. Situated approximately 50 miles north of New York City, the venue features a landscape consisting primarily of wooded trails. Participants navigate a mix of technical singletrack and wider carriage roads.

The event offers three distinct distance options:

  • 50 Miler with approximately 7,000 feet of elevation gain.
  • 50K with approximately 4,000 feet of elevation gain.
  • 25K with approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain.

The course design utilizes loops. The 25K consists of a single continuous loop. The 50K distance is completed by running the 25K loop twice, while the 50 Miler involves two laps of a 25 mile loop. While much of the terrain is runnable and the climbs are relatively short, the routes include various vistas at higher elevations.

The race starts and finishes at the Meadow Parking Lot. Finishers receive a specially designed medal and items provided by event sponsors. Post-race activities include professional timing and food and beverages served near the finish line. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in each distance category.
