Fall Fling 400 : YMCA Camp Sloper, Southington CT

The CT Trailmixers organize the Fall Fling 400 trail event at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, Connecticut on November 21, 2026. The event features a looped trail course and two entry formats.

  • 400 minute event: run as many loops as desired of a roughly two-mile loop within a 400 minute time limit.
  • 4 mile race: complete two laps of the roughly two-mile loop.

The course is a roughly two-mile loop with moderately rolling hills. It runs mostly on single-track wooded trails with some dirt and gravel road sections. Sections include rocky and root-strewn stretches as well as smoother parts. The course will be marked with flags.

Support at the main pavilion start/finish includes a single aid station offering trail-ultra style food such as baked goods, fruit, chips, candy, water, and electrolyte drink. Participants may set up drop bags and a personal area at the start/finish. This is a cupless event; participants should bring their own cup or mug. Portalets and nearby permanent restrooms are available.

The race uses chip timing and lap counts are displayed at the start/finish. Only laps completed within the 400 minute limit count toward results. No pacers are allowed; only registered participants may be on course.

Registration is online only and entry caps apply: 150 spots for the Fling 400 and 50 spots for the 4 miler. Proceeds support local organizations and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship Program. Awards include a branded gift and finisher medal, plus top male, female, and non-binary recognitions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
