Fall Fling

Southington, United States • 22 Nov 2025

Event details

Fall Fling 400 is organized by the CT Trailmixers at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, Connecticut on November 22, 2025. The event offers two main entry options:

  • 400-minute run on a roughly two-mile loop
  • 4 Mile (two laps of the same loop)

A "Fling Fanatic" option pairs this event with the Spring Fling 600 for a double-series recognition. All registrations must be made online. Registration fees include processing charges, a 25% discount is available for CT Trailmixers members via coupon, and refund protection may be purchased during registration; deferral of entry is not permitted. Race-day registration is possible only if openings remain. Total registrants are capped at 150 for the Fling 400 and 50 for the 4 Miler.

Course, support and race rules

The course is a roughly two-mile loop with moderately rolling hills, mostly single-track wooded trails plus some dirt and gravel road sections. Surfaces vary from rocky and rooty stretches to smoother sections. The loop will be marked with flags.

There is one aid station at the main pavilion start/finish area offering water, electrolyte drink, fruit, chips, candies, and a variety of baked items. Participants may set up drop bags at the main area. The race is cupless - participants should bring their own cup or mug. Portalets are near the start and real restrooms are a few hundred feet from the aid station. Chip timing will count laps; only laps completed within the 400-minute limit will count. Only registered participants may be on course and no pacers are allowed. Race proceeds support local organizations and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship Program.
