Fall Fling 400

Fall Fling 400 takes place at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, CT on November 21, 2026. The event offers two trail race options on a roughly two mile loop course through wooded terrain.

  • About 400 minute event: complete as many roughly two mile loops within the time limit.
  • Four mile event: two laps of the roughly two mile loop.

The course is mostly single track with some dirt and gravel road sections, moderately rolling hills, and portions with rocks and roots as well as smoother stretches. The route will be marked with flags.

Course support is centered at the main pavilion start and finish area. There will be a single aid station offering typical trail ultra foods, water, and electrolyte drink, with additional baked items noted by past participants. Drop bags may be set up at the main area. This is a cupless event and participants are expected to use their own cup or mug. Portable toilets are near the start and fixed restrooms are a short walk away.

The event uses chip timing and lap counts will be displayed at the start and finish area. Only laps completed within the 400 minute limit count. Pacers are not allowed and only registered participants may be on course. Registration is online only and field sizes are capped at 150 for the 400 minute event and 50 for the four mile event.

Race proceeds support local organizations including the Southington YMCA, the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association, and a shoe scholarship program for youth. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
