Fall Fling 400, the CT Trailmixers’ ninth annual trail race, takes place at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, CT. The event offers two options: Fall Fling 400, where runners complete as many roughly two-mile loops as possible within a 400-minute limit (roughly 28 miles minimum), and the Spring Fling 4 Miler (two laps). The course is well-marked, mostly single-track with rolling hills, mixed dirt and gravel roads, rocks and roots, and scenic forest terrain. Highlights include cheering crowds, a generous aid station, a cupless policy with drop bags, and chip timing. Proceeds benefit local charities and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship.
