Fall Fling 400

Fall Fling 400 takes place at YMCA Camp Sloper in Southington, CT. The event is organized by the CT Trailmixers and offers two race options over a roughly two mile loop course.

• Fall Fling 400: complete as many two mile loops as desired within a 400 minute time limit.
• Fall Fling 4 Miler: complete two laps of the roughly two mile course.

The loop is run mostly on single-track wooded trails with some dirt and gravel road sections. The terrain includes moderately rolling hills and sections that are rocky or root-strewn alongside smoother parts. The course will be marked with flags.

Support is centered at the main pavilion start/finish area. There is one aid station offering traditional trail ultra food items, water, and electrolyte drink, with many baked items on hand. Participants may set up drop bags and gear at the main area. The event is cupless to reduce waste; no disposable cup service is provided. Portalets are located near the start and real restrooms are a few hundred feet from the aid station.

Chip timing will record laps; only laps completed within the 400 minute limit count. All finishers receive a CT Trailmixers gift and a finisher medal. Awards recognize top male, female, and non-binary competitors. Race proceeds support local organizations including the Southington YMCA, the Connecticut Forest and Parks Association, and the CT Trailmixers Shoe Scholarship Program.

Registration is online; total entries are capped at 150 for the 400 and 50 for the 4 miler. Member discounts are available via coupon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
