Rathquarter, Ireland • 19 Apr 2026

The Women's Series - Benbulben Forest Trail takes place in County Sligo. This event features a loop trail through woodland and gravel paths, offering views of Benbulben mountain and the Atlantic Ocean. Participants can observe landmarks such as the island of Innismurray, Classiebawn Castle, and ruins of an ancient Cashel along the route. The event offers two distance options: * **5.5 km** * **4 km** The **5.5 km** course includes 167 meters of climb and is classified with an easy difficulty rating due to the terrain and ascent.

The **4 km** short course connects with the main trail via a shortcut. Both routes are fully marked with yellow and red flags and tape. Specific equipment is mandatory for all participants. Every runner must carry or wear a showerproof and windproof jacket throughout the race for safety reasons.

Registration takes place at the Benbulben Forest Walk car park, which is accessible via the N15 from Sligo. The event is open to female runners of various ages. Girls aged 6 to 10 must be accompanied by a guardian on the course, while those aged 11 to 17 may run independently if a guardian remains on-site. To minimize environmental impact, the organizers provide limited paper cups for water and encourage participants to bring their own reusable containers.
