Withlacoochee Trail Marathon is held in the Two Mile Prairie Tract of the Withlacoochee Forest near Lecanto, Florida, at the Bear Head Hammock Trailhead. The event offers Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10K on hiking and horse trails. The marathon is two 13.1-mile loops; the half is a single 13.1-mile loop; the 10K is a modified loop.

All runners receive a cotton T-shirt and post-race food, with finisher awards for all distances and handcrafted awards for top finishers. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, soda, pickles, chips, and PB&J about every five miles; participants must carry a hydration pack.
