Withlacoochee Trail Marathon

Event Overview
The Withlacoochee Trail Marathon offers three race distances on Sunday, April 19, 2026. The event takes place on hiking and horse trails within the Two Mile Prairie Tract of the Withlacoochee Forest near Lecanto, Florida.
Course & Distances
The courses are loop-based:
- Marathon: Two loops of 13.1 miles each.
- Half Marathon: One loop of 13.1 miles.
- 10K: A modified loop.
Runner Information
Bib pickup and registration begin one hour before the race starts. Every registered participant receives a cotton t-shirt and a race bib. The course is open until 2:00 PM for all distances.
Three aid stations along the route provide water, electrolyte sports drinks, soda, pickles, chips, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. All participants are required to carry their own hydration via a handheld bottle, waist pack, or hydration pack.
Post-Race & Amenities
Every finisher receives an award. The top three male and female runners in each distance receive a specially handcrafted award. A post-race social atmosphere is encouraged.
Primitive camping is available at the Bear Head Hammock Recreational Area equestrian campground on Saturday before the race; the entire campground is reserved for runners. There is no water or power source in the park. Several local motels and hotels are listed as lodging options.
Registration Policy
The organizer, A1 Ultra Events, does not offer refunds. Registered runners can opt for a rollover credit worth 75% of their entry fee towards the following year's race, available until seven days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
