Ruckers hike with a weighted ruck sack or weight plate carrier and are weighed before the event. Ruckers under 150 pounds must carry 20 pounds; ruckers over 150 pounds must carry 30 pounds. An early start category is available for a limited number of half marathon participants who need extra time to meet cutoffs; entrants in that category should expect that some aid stations may not be staffed when they arrive and are asked to remain aware of other participants.
The event offers standard and economy registration packages. Economy packages omit a race shirt and finishers medal.
