The event takes place on March 7, 2026, at Conway Robinson State Forest in Gainesville, VA (12814 Lee Hwy). Distances offered:

Points from the race count toward the 5k, 10k, Back of the Pack Series, and the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available. Walkers are welcome. The event supports the Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation.

Course, logistics and awards

The course is a loop through forest trails with some technical terrain and minor hills. The 10k uses two laps of the 5k loop; course maps and elevation details are provided by the organizer. Water stations: five along the 10k at approximately mile markers 1.05, 2.1, 3.1, 4.15, and 5.2; two along the 5k at approximately 1.05 and 2.1. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Portajohns are located at the state forest parking lot.

The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher’s coin and a technical (Drifit) event shirt; shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed before February 25. Registration fees listed by the organizer: 5k $30 until February 15 (then $35) and 10k $45 until February 15 (then $50). Packet pickup is available at the event; there is no on-site race registration. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to 1st and 2nd in age groups from 19&Under through 70+.
