Wildwood Trail Marathon is hosted by Terrain Trail Runners at LaSalle Springs Middle School, 3300 Highway 109, Wildwood, MO 63038. The 2025 event offers two distances:

  • Marathon - approximately 26.2-ish miles
  • 1/2 Marathon - approximately 13.1-ish miles

Registration closes November 30, 2025. Race day/onsite registration will be available; race day fees listed for 2025 are $180 for the marathon and $160 for the half. Included with registration are a unisex short-sleeve lifestyle shirt, custom finisher medal, free digital race photos, and a catered post-race lunch. Awards are given to the top male and female finishers in each distance.

Course and race details

Both courses start and finish at LaSalle Springs Middle School and use local trails in West County, St. Louis. The route combines about 2 miles of paved greenway with gravel, dirt, and roughly 90 percent single-track trail featuring rocks and roots. Key trails named on the courses include Hamilton-Carr Trail, Al Foster Memorial Trail, Bluff View Trail, Rock Hollow Trail, Sherman Beach Trailhead, Cedar Bluff Trail, and Stinging Nettle Trail.

Approximate elevation gain is 1,700 ft for the marathon and 750 ft for the half. Aid stations: marathon - 3 manned stations; half - 2 manned stations. Aid stations provide water, Hammer Heed electrolyte drink, Hammer gels, fruit only at Sherman Beach, and first aid. Distances between aid stations average about 5.5 miles, with no gap greater than about 7.5 miles. This is a cup-free event; participants should carry their own drinking receptacle.
