Wild in the Woods
Wild in the Woods is a trail race held at Broemmelsiek Park on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The event offers two loop-based distances and takes place at the Hilltop Shelter, 1795 Hwy DD, Defiance, MO 63341.
The event is the second race in the Big River Trail Series. Points are tallied for runners who participate in three of the six series events; scoring applies to the Wild in the Woods 5 mile or 10 mile and other specified series races.

Packet pickup is available before the race and on race day. Pre-race pickup is Thursday, December 3, noon to 6 pm at Big River Running Company West County, 13969 Manchester Rd, Town & Country, MO. Race day pickup takes place at Hilltop Shelter.
Regular registration fees are listed as $39 for the 5 mile and $49 for the 10 mile. A 10 percent discount is available for entrants who register for the full Trail Series by the stated deadline.
