Wicked Windstone Landing Loop

The Wicked Windstone is a loop-based trail event held at Windstone Landing Farms in Columbia Cross Roads, PA. The course uses a 5 kilometer loop that runs through mixed farm roads, mowed fields, wooded singletrack, pine forest, creek corridors, and natural terrain. A single lap includes pond views, rolling hills, forest clearings, and a steep climb known as The Wall.

Distances offered:

• 100 Miler using an offset start plus 32 full loops
• 100k using 20 loops
• 50k using 10 loops
• 5k single loop

Elevation is approximately 300 feet per loop, producing cumulative elevation gains listed for each distance, including more than 10,000 feet for the full 100 mile effort. At least once during the event organizers may sound air horns or cowbells to signal a course reversal; when signaled runners complete the current lap and then run subsequent laps in the opposite direction. The reversal does not apply to 5k runners.

Required and permitted equipment varies by distance. Headlamps or handheld lights are required for 100k and 100 mile participants and strongly recommended for 50k participants likely to be on course after sunset. Trekking poles and GPS devices are permitted with specific usage rules. Pacers are allowed for 100k and 100 mile races under stated conditions.

On-site primitive camping is included. An aid station is located within each loop and supplies hydration, snacks, and occasional hot meals. Finish awards and event apparel are provided to registered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
