Sunfish Shuffle 3 Hour Event

The Sunfish Shuffle is a timed lap race held on September 26, 2026 at Sunfish Pond County Park in Canton, PA. The event runs for three hours and the participant who completes the most laps in that time is the winner. The course uses repeated laps; each lap is a total distance of 1.0 miles. An aid station is available on the course.

The event is associated with America's 250th birthday and includes an evening bonfire. Food served around the fire includes hot dogs roasted over the open fire and toasted s'mores. Racing continues into darkness for part of the final hour, so participants are advised to have a headlamp or flashlight.

Registration carries a fee of $15. All proceeds from the event go to the Northern Tier Veterans Group, a local nonprofit that provides assistance to veterans. Assistance offered by that organization includes emergency financial help, counseling, medical equipment, support for dependents of deployed personnel, and veteran related events and activities. Proceeds remain in Bradford and Sullivan counties to support local veterans. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
