Kanyon Kids Trail Run

Kanyon Kids Trail Run in Wellsboro, PA is a free event for children 12 and under organized by Tyoga Running Club. The course is a 5K loop at 344 Kerr Road with over 750 feet of elevation gain. The trail includes two small stream crossings that may result in wet feet depending on recent weather.

The course is well marked and staffed by volunteers and guides along the route. Guardians may run or walk with participating children, and a pacer may be arranged if needed. Lunch is provided with items such as burgers, hot dogs and fruit cups, and bottled water and other beverages will be available. Servers will wear masks and gloves.

The event is offered to introduce young people to trail running and to give back to the community. Photos will be shared online unless participants request otherwise. Official registration closed on July 13, 2026; organizers note that the stated close date helps with T-shirt ordering and that late registrants might not receive a T-shirt but would not be excluded from participation.
