Whangie Whizz Hill Race
Whangie Whizz is a hill race taking place on 29 April 2026. The course distance is listed as 5.8 km / 3.6 m with an ascent of 229 m / 751 ft. The route is mostly runnable apart from one short steep climb to reach the summit plateau of Auchineden Hill.

Parking is at Eden Mill car park and space is limited, so car sharing is mandatory. Follow Westie flags along the John Muir Way to race registration at the start line, about 2 km from the parking area, to pick up race numbers. The race start grid is given as NS 4974 7959 and the what3words location is fuzz.nerd.lunges.
There are no toilets or changing facilities on site. Mandatory minimum kit for the event includes a waterproof jacket with hood, waterproof over trousers, hat, gloves, and a whistle. Failure to carry the required kit will result in disqualification. If a participant sees someone in trouble they are asked to help them.
