Gartmorn Trail and Junior Race

The event takes place on 19 April 2026 at Carsebridge Road, Sauchie, Alloa. Race headquarters, registration and post-race refreshments are at Sauchie Hall, Mar Place, Sauchie FK10 3EA, which is about a half mile from the race start and finish on Carsebridge Road.

The senior course is approximately 6 miles / 10 km and combines quiet public road sections with woodland trails and paths around Gartmorn Dam. Runners will encounter narrow off-road trails, small bridges and changing surfaces, and will pass views of the Ochils. Marshals will be stationed at key points; roads and paths remain open to the public. The junior course is approximately 2 miles / 3 km and follows the same start route with an earlier turn off the woodland track to return via farmtrack and road. There are no water stations on the course; competitors are asked to bring their own water.

Entry and practical information: juniors must be aged 8 to 15 years on event day, seniors must be at least 16 years. Entry limits are 100 for the junior race and 350 for the senior race. The junior entry fee is £7. Senior fees vary by date and membership, with fees reported in the range £18 to £25 depending on timing and Scottish Athletics affiliation. Numbers are not posted; competitors must collect race numbers on the morning of the event. No entries on the day. No dogs are allowed.
