The Gartmorn Trail and Junior Race is scheduled for 19 April 2026 in Sauchie, Alloa. Both races start and finish on Carsebridge Road, Sauchie. Race HQ, registration and post-race refreshments are at Sauchie Hall, Mar Place, Sauchie (about a half mile from the start). The event is held under UK Athletics rules and scottishathletics licence ES014670. Strictly no dogs are allowed.

Course and support

The senior course mixes quiet public road sections and woodland trails, including narrow off-road trails, small bridges and a path around Gartmorn Dam with views of the Ochils. The junior course follows the same start, turning off the woodland track midway before returning via farmtrack and road. Roads and paths remain open to the public; marshals will be positioned at key points. There are no water stations on course; participants are asked to bring their own water.

Entries, eligibility and fees

Entry limits are 350 for the senior race and 100 for the junior race. Juniors must be aged 8 to 15 on event day; seniors must be 16 or older. Junior entry fee is £7. Senior fees vary by membership and booking date: early-bird and standard rates apply, with different prices for SAF members and non-members. Closing date for entries is 14 April 2026.

Registration, facilities and results

Race numbers must be collected on the morning of the event; numbers will not be posted. There are no shower facilities; organisers do not accept responsibility for unattended belongings. Post-race snacks, tea and coffee are provided free; donations to a local charity are accepted. Results will be published on the Wee County Harriers and Scottish Athletics websites.
