We're All Mad Here Running Mayhem

This event is Alice in Wonderland themed and takes place at Echo Canyon State Park. The primary loop is 1.8 miles around the Echo Dam reservoir and the event is held at night, running through the night.

Distances and formats include:

  • Mad Hatter 10hr or 6hr continuous 1.8 mile loop.
  • White Rabbit clock countdown, laps every 30 minutes with decreasing time.
  • Red Queen 21, one 1.8 mile lap per playing card, Queen of Hearts is wild.
  • Dee Dum Dice Duo, two-person team with dice-determined lap counts.
  • Cheshire 13.1, a half marathon using Echo and Rose Canyons.

The course begins at the Echo Canyon group use area and loops around the reservoir. Surface mix is listed as 18% hiking trail, 54% graded road, and 28% pavement. The loop crosses one bridge and one dam, and finishes with a short uphill section to the timing area.

Facilities at the group use area include covered space, camping, self-aid stations, picnic tables, a horseshoe pit, restrooms, showers, and water. Dry camping in the group area is allowed. Full hookup campsites are available for $25 per night. Vehicle day entrance fees apply: $5 for in-state plates and $10 for out-of-state plates. A high-desert trail ultra near Pioche, Nevada on June 13, 2026 offering 100, 60, and 30 mile options on a 14-mile loop with about 1,440 ft elevation per lap, staffed aid stations, drop bag rules, and pacer allowances for longer distances.

Battle Born Trail Run at Cathedral Gorge State Park on October 24, 2026 offers four trail distances including a new 18.64 mile course. Routes are marked on dirt trails with aid stations, custom finisher medals, and a virtual option.
