The Battle Born Trail Run is a trail running event held in observation of Nevada Day. It takes place at Cathedral Gorge State Park in Panaca, Nevada.
Distances
Four distances are offered:
- 18.64 miles: A new distance for this year.
- 10.31 miles
- 3.6 miles: Offered in both a morning and an evening sunset race.
- 1.864k Dash
Course and Scenery
The courses are held on dirt trails within Cathedral Gorge State Park. They offer views of the state park and Panaca valley. The route includes stairs leading up to Miller's Point.
Registration and Logistics
Registration fees are:
- 3.6 miler: $65
- 10.31 miler: $75
- 18.64 miler: $85 A "Double The Battle" option allows registration for a morning race and the evening 3.6 miler for an additional $20, which includes an extra finisher medal. A virtual race option is also available for $65. Online registration closes the day before the event at noon, and there is no race day registration.
Participant Entitlements
Race entry includes a custom finisher medal, custom race swag (which varies yearly), a custom race sticker or button, and prizes for the top overall winners in each distance. Wood awards are given to the top three finishers in each distance if there are 15 or more participants. Aid stations provide water, snacks, and Tailwind electrolytes.
