Little BIG Dog Trail Run

Little BIG Dog Trail Run is the ninth annual trail race held on January 23, 2027 at Kershaw-Ryan State Park in Caliente, Nevada. The event offers options to run with a canine companion and finishes at the park pond in the group use area.

• 4K Approximately 2.8 miles, 561 ft elevation gain, 321 ft elevation loss
• 14K Approximately 8.8 miles, 1305 ft elevation gain, 1049 ft elevation loss

The course starts at the park entrance, follows a newly developed trail alongside the paved road for about 0.6 mile, uses the paved loop and overlook loop, includes a rock stair section, and continues on mountain bike and existing hiking trails before finishing at the pond.

Registration is available with or without a dog. Fees listed are: with canine pal 4K $50 and 14K $60; without canine pal 4K $45 and 14K $55. Personalized finisher pet tags and bibs are guaranteed for registrations received by January 5, 2027. Online registration closes on January 21, 2027 at noon and there is no race day registration.

Registration includes custom race swag, a wooden finisher medal, and personalized bibs; a personalized pet tag is included for canine entries registered by the January 5 deadline. Aid stations provide water, cups, snacks, and dog treats; an additional aid point may be unattended with a cooler and first aid kit. Parking options include driving to the group use area or parking at the entrance and walking. Dogs must be on leash and waivers must be signed.
