Welwyn 10k at Panshanger Park

Garden City Runners hosts the Welwyn 10k as a trail running event at Panshanger Park, between Welwyn and Hertford. The 10 km race is a single lap, entirely off road, using established trails and paths on both sides of the chalk Mimram river. The route passes several local features including a 500 year old oak, the newly planted 17,000 tree Queen’s Wood, and the original Orangery.

Entries are open for 2026 and will remain open until 21st June or until sold out. Early bird entry is £20 until 31st March, then the entry fee is £23. All finishers receive a sustainable medal and a digital finishers certificate. Discounts are available for affiliated club runners. The event is fully supported and uses electronic chip timing.

A family fun run is also held on the same day with entries priced at £3.

The event forms part of the Welwyn Festival and donates proceeds to local charities working in the Welwyn Garden City area and wider Hertfordshire. Parking is available on site. The race receives support from Tarmac and Panshanger Park and is sponsored by HRJ Foreman Laws. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
