BEYOND LONDON ULTRA TRAIL RUNS : 55km and 25km

Beyond London is a trail and ultra running event in London offering two distance options: a 55 km ultra and a 25 km trail route. Both courses use sections of the Capital Ring footpath and finish in Richmond upon Thames near Richmond railway station and local bus routes. The 55 km route starts in Woolwich and the 25 km route starts at Upper Norwood.

Routes are fully signed and supported with chip timing, medical support and feed stations. The 55 km course has three feed stations and the 25 km course has one. GPX route files are provided for download to running watches or phone apps to aid navigation. Organisers recommend a sports GPS device where available.

Terrain is a mix of footpaths, parks, woodland trails, canal paths and disused railway lines, with some steps and occasional muddy sections depending on weather. Surface breakdowns published for the event are approximately 73% paved and 27% unpaved for the 55 km, and 74% paved and 26% unpaved for the 25 km. Entry includes a finisher medal and route information. Cut off times are in place and will be enforced. Age limits apply: entrants must be at least 20 for the 55 km and 18 for the 25 km.
