Beyond London

Beyond London is a trail running event in Greater London on 20 June 2026 offering two route options. The event follows sections of London’s Capital Ring footpath and uses a mix of footpaths, parks, woodland trails, canal paths and disused railway lines.

Distances available:

  • 55 km Ultra
  • 25 km Trail

The 55 km route starts in Woolwich and the 25 km route starts in Upper Norwood. Both distances finish in Richmond upon Thames close to Richmond railway station and local bus routes. The 55 km route includes three feed stations and the 25 km route includes one feed station; Wimbledon Common hosts a feed station on both routes. GPX route files are provided for navigation and the course is fully signed with confidence markers.

Event entries include a finishers medal, chip timing, feed stations along the route and medical support. Recommended footwear is trail running shoes or road trail hybrid shoes. Route composition is largely paved with approximately 73% paved and 27% unpaved on the 55 km course, and approximately 74% paved and 26% unpaved on the 25 km course. Parts of the route include steps and hills and may be muddy depending on weather conditions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
