Beyond London

Beyond London is a trail running event in Greater London on 20 June 2026 offering two route options. The event follows sections of London’s Capital Ring footpath and uses a mix of footpaths, parks, woodland trails, canal paths and disused railway lines.

Distances available:

  • 55 km Ultra
  • 25 km Trail

The 55 km route starts in Woolwich and the 25 km route starts in Upper Norwood. Both distances finish in Richmond upon Thames close to Richmond railway station and local bus routes. The 55 km route includes three feed stations and the 25 km route includes one feed station; Wimbledon Common hosts a feed station on both routes. GPX route files are provided for navigation and the course is fully signed with confidence markers.

Event entries include a finishers medal, chip timing, feed stations along the route and medical support. Recommended footwear is trail running shoes or road trail hybrid shoes. Route composition is largely paved with approximately 73% paved and 27% unpaved on the 55 km course, and approximately 74% paved and 26% unpaved on the 25 km course. The Maverick North Downs Trail will take place in Cranleigh on Saturday 27 June 2026. You can run between 6 and 53 kilometers.

Trail races of Half Marathon, 10K and 5K run from Marlow Rugby Union Football Club on 28 June 2026, using marked off road routes through the Thames Valley countryside with marshals, chip timing and race photos.

A June 28th trail event at 3 Brewers Brewery in Hertfordshire offering 5 km and 10 km multi terrain laps, mostly off road, with a medal, pint cup and free drink for finishers plus live jazz and charity fundraising.

A Half Marathon at Box Hill Fort (Tadworth) on 28 June 2026 with more than 3000 feet of ascent and descent. The route runs mainly on rough tracks and offers views over the North Downs, the Mole Gap, Denbies Vineyard and Dorking.
