Beyond London Ultra Trail Runs

Beyond London by Wild Deer Events is a trail running event that explores the terrain and sights of the nation's capital. Participants can choose between two primary distances that follow sections of the Capital Ring footpath, an inner circle route around Greater London. The event is open to those who wish to run, jog, or walk.

The courses are fully signed and designed to stay off main roads and highways, utilizing a network of footpaths, parks, disused railway lines, and woodland. The long-distance routes offer views of several well-known landmarks, including the medieval architecture of Eltham Palace, the open spaces of Wimbledon Common, and the rolling hills of Richmond Park.

Available distances include:

  • 55 km Ultra Marathon: Open to participants aged 20 and over.
  • 25 km Trail Run: Open to participants aged 17 and over.

The 55 km route takes athletes along the inner circle of Greater London, passing through ancient woodlands and various city parks. The 25 km route focuses on a specific section of the Capital Ring, providing views of the city skyline from the trails. The event includes support throughout the course for all participants regardless of their pace. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
