Beyond London is a trail running event in London on 20 June 2026 with two distance options. Distances available:

  • 55 km (listed as 54.9 km)
  • 25 km (listed as 26.2 km)

The 55 km ultra starts in Woolwich and the 25 km event starts in Upper Norwood. Both distances finish in Richmond upon Thames, close to Richmond railway station and local bus routes. Age limits apply: participants must be at least 20 years old for the 55 km and 18 years old for the 25 km.

Route, support and logistics

Both routes follow parts of the Capital Ring footpath and are fully signed with downloadable GPX files provided. The terrain is a mixture of footpaths, parks, woodland trails, canal paths and disused railway lines, with some steps; parts may be muddy depending on weather. Paved/unpaved breakdown: the 55 km route is 73% paved and 27% unpaved; the 25 km route is 74% paved and 26% unpaved.

Enjoy a 60 minute score orienteering course through woodland and open slopes at Trosley Country Park on the North Downs. Choose from 20 controls, hunt bonus dumbbells and race the clock in scenic terrain.

Run 50 miles on an athletics track at Fireworks 50, a small field limited to 50 entrants with festival vibes, music, free tea and cake and a bespoke medal. Enjoy traffic free laps, aid stations and fireworks as dusk falls.

Run the Chiltern Ridge Winter 50K, a single loop through Ashridge and along The Ridgeway from Berkhamsted. Limited to 325 runners, with marked navigation and well stocked aid stations for a true autumn trail test.
