MK24 Midsummer RunFest
MK24 is a 24 hour running event held in June near Caldecotte Lake, Milton Keynes, based at Action4Youth Caldecotte Xperience. It is open to individuals and to teams of two to six people. Juniors aged 12 to 18 may take part under UKA rules; juniors under 15 run half laps of about 5 km and will be eligible for the event medal and kit after completing two half laps.
The event uses a lap format with each lap approximately 6.55 miles. Participants may complete any number of laps during the 24 hour period. Organisers describe the event with the motto Run It Your Way, allowing runners to rest between laps or to attempt multiple laps for marathon and ultra distances under the applicable rules.
On-site facilities include individual shower and toilet cubicles, large marquees, tee-pee tents for hire, campsite pitches and a limited number of small campervan spaces without electrical hook-up or generators. Snacks, water and hot drinks are provided free; hot meals are available to purchase from a pizza van and a charity barbecue serving burgers, hot dogs and bacon rolls.
All entrants receive the 2026 medal, an embroidered hand towel, an event tee-shirt or vest and collectible distance pin badges for specified milestones. Prizes are awarded for most laps, fastest lap and team categories. The event is held under UKA rules and is licensed by the Trail Running Association, The Parks Trust and Willen Lake.
