Event Overview
The MK24 Midsummer RunFest is a 24-hour running event held near Caldecotte Lake in Milton Keynes. The race follows a circular route with each lap measuring approximately 6.55 miles (1/4 marathon). Participants have the flexibility to run as many or as few laps as they choose throughout the 24-hour duration.
Participation Options
The event is open to individuals and teams of 2-6 people. Junior runners between the ages of 12 and 18 are also permitted to participate under UKA rules. For participants under 15, the course is modified to half-laps of approximately 5 km.

Runners can target specific milestones based on the number of laps completed:
- 13.1 miles (2 laps)
- 26.2 miles (4 laps)
- Ultra Marathon (5 laps or more, restricted to over 20s)
- Double Marathon (8 laps)
Facilities and Amenities
The event site at the Caldecotte Xperience features individual showers, toilets, and large marquees. Free snacks, water, and hot drinks are provided to participants, who are asked to bring their own refillable bottles and cups. Additional hot food options, such as a BBQ and pizza van, are available for purchase.
Accommodation
On-site camping options are available, including pitches for tents and a limited number of small campervans without electrical hookups. Permanent tee-pee tents that sleep up to six people are also available for hire. The venue layout encourages a social environment with field games and relaxation areas between laps.
