MK24 Midsummer RunFest
MK24 Midsummer RunFest is a 24 hour running event held on or close to Midsummers Day in June. The 2026 event is scheduled for 20 and 21 June and is based near Caldecotte Lake at Action4Youth Caldecotte Xperience in Milton Keynes.
The event is open to individuals and to teams of two to six people. Participants complete repeated laps of approximately 6.55 miles and may run as many laps as they wish during the 24 hour period. Juniors aged 12 to 18 may take part under UKA rules; juniors under 15 are limited to half laps of about 5 km and can earn the same medal and tee as adult entrants if they complete two half laps.
On site facilities include individual shower and toilet cubicles, large marquees, campsites and a limited number of tee pee tents for hire. Snacks, water and hot drinks are provided free; hot and cold food is available from on site vendors including a pizza van and a charity barbecue. Camping options and prices are published for tee pee hire, tent pitches and small campervans with no EHU or generators.
All entrants receive a bespoke medal, an embroidered hand towel and a cool unisex tee or vest. Distance pin badges and prizes are awarded for set milestones, fastest laps and team and individual achievements. The event is held under UKA rules and is licensed by relevant local bodies.
