The Weld Your Mettle Running Festival takes place May 30 - 31, 2026 in Eaton, Colorado (11586 CR 80, Eaton CO 80615). It is a multi-day running event that offers a range of solo, relay and virtual options. Solo distances include multiple finishing targets that come from repeating a four-mile out-and-back route. A separate 7k event is offered as a run, walk or ruck; the ruck requires a 30 lb weighted vest or backpack. The event also includes a 36 Hour Virtual Race where participants complete miles anywhere and receive a mug, medal and race bib.

Course and amenities

The course is a horseshoe-shaped four-mile out-and-back loop that can be repeated to reach different distances. Crew access is available and there are fully stocked aid stations at the start/finish of each loop and at the two-mile turnaround. Finisher perks include a shirt and medal, access to sauna, yoga, cold plunge, massage and a stretch zone, and belt buckles for finishers of distances over 26.2 miles. A glamping tent package is available with queen bed(s), bedding, a lantern, drying rack, side table and a weatherproof vinyl floor; self camping is available at no extra cost.
