Black Squirrel Half

The Black Squirrel Half Marathon is a 13.5-mile trail race held in Lory State Park near Fort Collins, Colorado. Featuring approximately 2,000 feet of elevation gain and loss, the course offers a scenic perimeter tour of the park with stunning views of Horsetooth Reservoir, Fort Collins, the Great Plains, and the Rocky Mountains. The terrain includes 12 miles of dirt singletrack and 1 mile of dirt road, with a challenging ascent to 7,000 feet on Lory’s west ridge followed by a technical descent and rolling singletrack to the finish.
