About the race

The Winter Weavers' ultramarathons follow the Weavers' Way into Cromer with two distance options and a finish at Cromer Pier. The route uses a well-marked trail running from the Broads to Cromer Pier, but organiser signage is limited so participants must be able to navigate with a GPX. Train connections to Great Yarmouth and Cromer are available and a coach transfer from Cromer to Stalham is offered for the shorter race at £12 per person.

Available distances:

  • 50 km from Stalham to Cromer
  • 100 km from Great Yarmouth to Cromer

The event has time limits of 10 hours for the 50 km and 19 hours for the 100 km; these limits will be strictly enforced. Entry is limited to 150 participants and the minimum age on race day is 20 years. Entries open 1 December 2025 and close 7 November 2026.

Entry fees are listed separately for UKA members and non members, and the entry package includes a finish on Cromer Pier, a Winter Weavers medal, GPX course files, checkpoint food and drinks, indoor checkpoints and water points, a light meal and hot drinks at the Cromer recovery centre, GPS tracking, first aid cover, prize places for top finishers in Female and Male/Open categories, and a £1 per runner donation to Norfolk Trails. A T shirt is available to purchase for £20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
