Course, awards and extras
The 2-mile course heads north on the Clovis Old Town Trail to a turnaround at Via Church, with water stations near 0.5 and 1.5 miles, then returns to the start. The 5K route follows the trail north to Alluvial, returns to a water station, continues on "Spud's Spur" for a quarter mile, then follows an alleyway to Sierra Avenue for about 200 yards before returning to the trail and finishing north at the start/finish area.
The Competitive 5K awards $100 for overall 1st place male and female and age-group awards for 1st through 3rd in age brackets from 5-9 through 80+. Bib tear-off coupons are valid at three Huckleberry’s locations for a waffle combo breakfast (half Belgian waffle, two eggs, choice of bacon or sausage), redeemable on race morning or any day before January 1.
