The main loop is about 33.4 miles and the course combines paved paths and single-track trails that pass lakes and wooded areas inside Shelby Farms Park. The park contains a herd of buffalo and other wildlife. Live tracking will be available for the 300- and 200-mile races. Registration closes March 7, 2026.
Logistics, aid and rules
Packet pickup is scheduled on March 8 at the Hyde Lake Pavilion aid station and reopens on March 9, remaining open during park daylight hours before each race. There are two fully manned aid stations - Hyde Lake Pavilion (start/finish area) and Tour de Wolf Pavilion - plus at least one unmanned aid station. Drop bags and covered sleeping areas are available at both manned aid stations; runners may also sleep in vehicles at aid stations.
Pacers are permitted for the 300, 200 and 100 mile distances (not for the 53K or 25K); only one pacer at a time is allowed and pacers must follow event pacer rules and register at packet pickup. Crew access is allowed only at the two manned aid stations. No refunds or bib transfers; partial deferral credit is available with deadlines stated in the event rules.
