Horton Trail Race

The Horton Trail Race is a trail running event held at the Shelby Farms Cross Country Course in Memphis, Tennessee. This nighttime event supports Memphis Youth Athletics, a non-profit organization dedicated to healthy lifestyle habits through sports. Participants can choose between two main distances:

  • 2K Fun Run
  • 5K Trail Race

The event offers different registration tiers. Participants can select a basic entry or a bundle that includes access to a VIP tent with food and beverages, a t-shirt, and parking. Members of the Memphis Runners Track Club (MRTC) are eligible for a registration discount.

The 5K Trail Race includes formal awards for top finishers. Recognition is given to the top three overall finishers, as well as the top three in the Masters category. Additional awards are provided for the top finishers in the Grand Masters and Senior Master divisions, alongside performance recognition across three positions in various age groups.
