Last Mamba Standing
Last Mamba Standing is a Backyard Ultra event scheduled for September 26, 2026 in Eads, TN on private land. The event is organized by Mamba Trail Runners and follows the backyard ultra format: runners complete a single loop repeatedly with a new start each hour. The loop length is 4.167 miles. Each hour runners must make the cutoff to continue; missing the cutoff ends an individual runner’s race. The event is listed on the official Backyard Ultra International Calendar.
The course uses purpose built trails on private property. The terrain includes rolling hills, flowing singletrack, and natural trail surfaces through a quiet, wooded setting. Organizers state wildlife is commonly present on the property.
There will be no traditional aid stations on course. Organizers will provide water, Tailwind, and basic trail snacks at the start/finish; runners are responsible for bringing extra nutrition, gear, and supplies. Primitive camping is available on the night before the event, with porta potties and hand washing stations provided. Participants may bring tents or 10x10 canopy shelters. Friday night offers a communal fire, music, and a gathering near the barn.
Awards and items include a single custom champion award for the final runner, a finisher medal for anyone who completes at least one lap, and a race shirt for each registered runner. The event has a no refunds and no deferrals policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
