Caspian 10 Miler
Lakeland, United States • 1 Aug 2026
Caspian 5 and 10 Miler, Shelby Farms Park, Cordova, TN
Organized by Mamba Trail Runners, the event offers two distances:
- 5 Miler single loop on the Tour de Wolf Trail
- 10 Miler two loops of the 5 mile course
The course uses the Tour de Wolf singletrack trail system at Shelby Farms Park. The route includes flowing dirt trails through thick forests, open meadows, and lake views, with smooth runnable sections, gentle rolling hills, and natural dirt terrain. A notable feature is the run across the Beaver Lake levee toward the finish at Beaver Lake Pavilion. Wildlife sightings are common along the trails.
Packet pickup is set for Friday, July 31 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Beaver Lake Pavilion, which also serves as the start and finish area. Porta potties will be available at the start line and a nearby restroom with running water is accessible. This is a cupless race so participants must carry their own cup, flask, handheld bottle, or hydration vest. Water stations are located around miles 1.5 and 3.5 for the 5 Miler, and around miles 1.5, 3.5, 5, 6.5, and 8.5 for the 10 Miler. Aid stations provide water only; food and additional refreshments are available at the 5 mile mark for 10 milers.
The race will be professionally chip timed and runners should wear their bib on the front. Road shoes may be adequate if trails are dry, though trail shoes are recommended. Post race recognition includes Top 3 overall male and female awards and age group awards for both distances, with snacks and drinks available. There are no refunds or roll over credits for this event. Race photos from the series will be free for participants and a series documentary is planned.
Shelby Farms Park covers about 4,500 acres, contains over 40 miles of trails and more than 20 lakes. Nearby services include grocery stores and local hotels listed by the organizer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
