Caspian 5 and 10 Miler - Cordova, TN
The event offers two trail distances at Shelby Farms Park on the Tour de Wolf trail system. The course uses the Beaver Lake Pavilion area as the Start and Finish location and packet pickup will take place Friday, July 31 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the same pavilion. The pavilion is located just down the side road past the horse stables.
- 5 Miler
- 10 Miler (two loops of the 5-mile course)
The Tour de Wolf trails feature singletrack through wooded sections, open meadows, and lake views. The route includes a run across the Beaver Lake levee approaching the finish. Trail conditions in August are typically hot, fast, and dry; shaded sections alternate with open fields and wildlife sightings are common.
Race logistics note that this is a cupless event so runners must carry their own cup, flask, handheld bottle, or hydration vest. The 5 Miler has water stations near miles 1.5 and 3.5. The 10 Miler has stations near miles 1.5, 3.5, 5, 6.5, and 8.5; aid stations provide water only, with food and additional refreshments available at the 5-mile mark for 10 milers. Road shoes may work if trails remain dry, though trail shoes are recommended. The race will be chip timed and bibs must be worn on the front.
Post-race awards recognize Top 3 overall male and female finishers and age group winners for both distances. There are no refunds or roll-over credits. Event photos will be free for participants and a series documentary is planned. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
