Caspian 5 and 10 miler
The event features trail races in Shelby Farms Park on the Tour de Wolf singletrack loop. The Tour de Wolf is described as a scenic 5.6 to 6 mile singletrack loop through oak-hickory forest, meadows, ponds, and creeks with mostly flat terrain and a few gentle hills. The surface is primarily dirt with some rooty and muddy sections depending on recent weather.
Distances offered:
- 5 mile
- 10 mile (two loops of the 5 mile course)
Facilities and race operations are organized around the Tour de Wolf Pavilion, which serves as the start and finish area and the packet pickup location. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, July 31 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the pavilion. Runners may leave a bag with drinks or food at the pavilion. Porta potties will be available at the start/finish and a nearby bathroom with running water is accessible.
This is a cupless race; participants must bring their own cup or personal hydration system. Water stations are placed at mile 1.5 and mile 3.5 on the 5 mile course; the 10 mile course adds water at miles 5, 6.5, and 8.5. There will be no food at water stations; food is available at the finish. The race is chip timed and bibs should be worn on the front for timing visibility.
There are no refunds or rollover credits for the race. After the races, top finishers and age group award winners for both distances will be recognized and light post-race refreshments will be provided.
For local amenities the listing notes nearby hotels in Germantown, stores such as Walmart and Kroger, and running resources like Breakaway Running Store. Shelby Farms Park offers extensive trail connections and other park facilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
