King 7 Miler and Half Marathon in Memphis

The event offers two trail distances on the Wolf River Trails in Memphis. The courses use the same singletrack system as the Mamba 100 and run on mostly flat, smooth, flowing trails that are described as very runnable. The Half Marathon follows the Mamba 100 loop with a shortened section to create the official 13.1 mile distance.

Race services include fully stocked aid stations along the course and a fully stocked start finish aid station with food, cooling towels, fans, ice cold water, and music. The event is cupless so participants must carry their own water in a handheld bottle or hydration vest. Course markings use orange ground flags that should be kept on the right side except in two sections where runners travel in both directions near a bridge aid station and the large Wolf River Bridge.

Packet pickup is the day before at the Wolf River Refuge Trailhead, which is also the start finish location; the course will be marked by noon that day and the trails close at dark. Parking is at the trailhead with overflow parking on the grass. All participants receive a custom finisher medal. Awards recognize the top three overall male and female finishers and age group winners. There are no refunds or roll over credits. Weather in Memphis can be hot, humid, and stormy so organizers may postpone or cancel for safety. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
