King 7-miler and Half Marathon
The event takes place on the Wolf River Trails in Memphis, TN and includes the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 7 Miler
The course follows the same loop used for the Mamba 100. Trails are mostly single track, described as flat and runnable. The half marathon route uses the Mamba 100 loop with 1.20 miles removed from the full 14.3 mile loop. The organizer provides generous cut off times.
Aid is available on course and at the start/finish area. A fully stocked aid station is staffed by the North Mississippi Endurance crew at Mile 3.7; 7 milers turn at this aid station, while half marathoners pass it once more near Mile 9.5. The start/finish aid area will provide food, cooling towels, fans, ice cold water and music. This is a cup-less race; participants should bring a personal water container or hydration vest for the half marathon.
Packet pickup is Friday, August 14 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Wolf River Refuge Trailhead. Bib pickup is also available on race morning. The course will be marked by noon on Friday; the trails close at dark that evening. Parking is at the trailhead with overflow parking on the grass behind the lot.
Registration closes Friday, August 14 at 11:59 PM CT. There are no refunds and no roll-over credits. The race may be postponed or cancelled for weather due to summer heat, humidity, and potential storms. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
