Ladysmith - Transfer Beach

The event takes place at Transfer Beach in Ladysmith on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Stz’uminus First Nation. Courses use trails around Holland Creek and Heart Lake and include a summertime barbecue on the waterfront at Transfer Beach.

Distances offered:

  • ~20 km long course, 680 m vertical gain, 2 aid stations
  • ~10 km short course, 280 m vertical gain, 1 aid station
  • ~1 km kids race

Aid stations provide water, Gatorade, fruit, chips, pickles, and other snacks. The event is cupless; participants should bring a personal drinking container or may purchase a cup at the merch tent.

There is ample parking at Transfer Beach. Dogs are not permitted at Transfer Beach. Bib pick up is at the registration tent and requires a government-issued photo ID. Registration fees for the kids race support the Cowichan Valley Trailblazers Society.

A foam filled 5K at Laketown Ranch on Vancouver Island on May 30, 2026. The course features 25 obstacles, 2.5 million cubic feet of foam, festival amenities and an on site camping option for participants and family.

Third annual 3 km obstacle course and year end picnic at Aspengrove School on June 5, 2026. Team based competition and fun run divisions with costumes, fundraising, food trucks and a kid zone.

A loop ultrarace on Saysutshun Island using a roughly 10 km coastal single track. Multiple timed formats, a stocked aid station at the campground and ferry logistics for island access.

A vertical kilometre up Mount Elphinstone on 1 August 2026 with entries limited to 60 runners. A GPX route and a Strava club are provided and competitors may race for the King or Queen of the Mountain title.
