Utah Marathon

The Utah Marathon is scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026, at the Oakley Rodeo Grounds in Oakley, Utah. The event offers multiple race distances and uses the rodeo grounds as the start and finish location.

The course runs on scenic trails and roads that highlight mountain views and Oakley’s western heritage. Roads on the course will be closed to through traffic. Water stations for the full marathon are placed at multiple mile markers and will provide bottled water, Gatorade, and individually packaged snacks. Bathrooms will be available on the route and at the start and finish area. Parking is provided at the Oakley Rodeo Grounds.

Race services and policies noted by the organizer include packet pickup on race day until each event begins and a photo identification requirement for adults to receive race packets; participants 17 and under may be accompanied by an adult with valid ID. Top male and female overall finishers will receive a plaque sent after the event. The organizer also offers registration incentives, including a full refund for recruiting five other registrants with a personal code and a partial refund when a friend volunteers. Trail runs nearby

Trail races from Alta Town Park on single-track and dirt roads. Options include a short loop and a long course of about 9.5 miles with 2300 feet of gain; the long course requires a headlamp and has a mile four cutoff.

A 13.1 mile dirt trail race around Deer Creek Reservoir in Midway, UT with marked navigation, aid stations every 4 to 4.5 miles, locally made finisher medals, free photos and a 150 runner cap.

An 8.9 mile mountain race at Snowbird, Utah on July 11, 2026 with 3,610 feet of climbing, a marked alpine course that tops out at Mt. Baldy, a strict cut off at Hidden Peak, and a 500 runner cap.

Trail races at Snowbird feature two mountain-course distances, single-track sections, a construction reroute, cupless racing with water only at start and finish, and live music by Blue Grass Thunder.
