Skyfire Race Series
The Skyfire Race Series is a four-race mountain running series held at Solitude Mountain Resort in Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton, UT. The series runs from August 15 through October 3, 2026 and includes four separate events across late summer and fall.
The series is presented as a progressive set of races with increasing distance and elevation gain. The four races and their nominal distances are:
- The Spark: 5K
- The Ember: 5 miles
- The Inferno: 10K
- The OG BCC Classic: 10K
Each race lists specific vertical gain, starting and maximum elevations, and a separate entry fee. Reported vertical gains range from about 900 feet to nearly 2,000 feet. Reported starting elevation is 8,055 feet for the races, with maximum elevations reported up to 10,035 feet. Listed entry fees for individual races are $35, $45, $60, and $60 respectively.
After each race, runners are offered breakfast items, stretching or massage sessions, and a raffle. The series is organized as four distinct events held on individual dates at the same mountain resort and canyon location. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
