Cirque Series - Alta

The event is a mountain trail race in Alta, Utah covering 7.1 miles with approximately 2,545 ft of vertical gain. The field is capped at 500 runners. The course sits on the Salt Lake Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.

The clockwise route begins at the base of Goldminer's Daughter (elevation 8,650 ft) and follows a service road, then climbs the Albion Meadows Trail through subalpine fir, Engelmann spruce, and aspen. Runners traverse steep singletrack, meadows, and alpine terrain, passing Alf's mid mountain restaurant (elevation 9,200 ft) and continuing under the Sugarloaf lift line. The route ascends through the Keyhole to the top of Collins (elevation 10,400 ft) where an aid station is located, proceeds across East Baldy Traverse toward Sugarloaf Pass, and follows a ridge to the summit of Mt. Baldy (elevation 11,068 ft). Sections include loose rock requiring hand assistance to ascend and northwest ridge downhills that may be snowy. A second aid station is located near Watson Shelter (elevation 9,280 ft). The course returns along service roads to the original area.

Safety protocols require following orange flagging, alerting others if rocks are dislodged, and protecting the head when warned. Competitors must meet a strict cut off at Alf's Lodge and follow marked routes. Every entrant receives event apparel, a branded bib and medal, a sponsor swag bag, and professional race photos.
