The event is a mountain running race held at Alta on August 15, 2026. The course covers 7.1 miles with approximately 2,545 ft of vertical gain and is located on the Salt Lake Ranger District, Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
The course runs clockwise from the base of Goldminer's Daughter (elevation 8,650 ft). The route follows a service road and the Albion Meadows Trail through subalpine fir, Engelmann spruce, and aspen, then climbs through Albion Meadows past Alf's mid mountain restaurant (elevation 9,200 ft). Runners continue under the Sugarloaf lift line, pass Cecret Lake views, cross Keyhole meadows, and reach Collins (elevation 10,400 ft) where an aid station is located. The route traverses East Baldy toward Sugarloaf Pass (elevation 10,500 ft) and ascends to the top of Mt Baldy (elevation 11,068 ft) with a short section of loose rock that may require using hands. The descent includes snowy sections and an aid station near Wildcat Lift and Watson Shelter before returning on service road to the start/finish.
Safety instructions note clearly marked orange flagging, the need to follow the flagged route, and procedures for rock fall warnings. There are two aid stations plus finish line hydration. The race is capped at 500 entries and has Sport, Expert, Pro and Volunteer categories. Prizes include cash in the Pro category and gear awards in Expert and Sport categories. A disposable timing chip is attached to the back of the bib. Packet pickup is available the day before and at the venue on race day.
