The event offers two trail distances that start and finish at the Butterfield Trailhead Regional Park in Herriman, Utah. The route uses single track, fire road, and dirt road through forested sections and ridge views near the Kennecott Mine.

Aid stations supply Tailwind, water, Honey Stinger products, fruit, and small snacks. The marathon has two widely spaced aid stations and requires a hydration vest or bottle; the half marathon has one aid station and strongly recommends a hydration vest or bottle. The course is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals; wrong-way routes are marked with red flags.
Participants receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal; age-division medals and overall plaques are awarded. Other provisions include free race photos, live results, a post-race Great Harvest Bread breakfast, parking near the pavilion, and a cap on field size to limit entries.
