Jordan River Marathon

The Jordan River Marathon is scheduled for September 19, 2026, in South Jordan, Utah. The event, organized by Happy Trails Running, uses sections of the Jordan River Parkway Trail and is based at East River Front Park, 10911 S River Front Pkwy.

There are two primary race distances:

  • Marathon: 26.2 miles, +995 ft elevation, 99% paved trail
  • Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, +226 ft elevation, 95% paved trail

Courses run along river corridors and pass wetlands, ponds, parks, golf courses, bridges, and paved trail sections. Navigation is supported with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals. Aid stations are placed along the route and typically offer Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger gels or waffles, fruit, candy, soda options, and basic first aid supplies including Vaseline.

The marathon follows a 7.5 hour pace cutoff; the half marathon does not have a cutoff time. The field is capped at 300 runners to match trail capacity, parking, and facility limits. Runners receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal. Post-race food includes bakery items and beverages. Packet pickup is available before the event at a local running store and on race morning at the start area. Free parking is available near the park.
