Jordan River Marathon
The Jordan River Marathon and Half Marathon take place September 19, 2026 in South Jordan, Utah, with start and finish at East River Front Park (10911 S River Front Pkwy). The races use selected miles of the Jordan River Parkway Trail, running through wetlands, parks, golf courses, ponds, and over and under bridges.
Distances offered:
- Marathon, 26.2 miles, +995 ft elevation, 99% paved trail
- Half Marathon, 13.1 miles, +226 ft elevation, 95% paved trail
Marathon cutoff follows a 7.5 hour pace and includes intermediate cut points; the published finish cutoff is enforced. Aid stations are well stocked with Gatorade, water, Honey Stinger products, fruit, soda, gels, and snacks; first aid kits and Vaseline are available. The course is marked with pink flags, ribbons, signs, and trail marshals to aid navigation.
Registration has tiered pricing with early, normal, and late periods for each distance. There is a runner cap of 300. Packet pickup is available before race day at the Sandy Salt Lake Running Store and on race day at the starting area. Runners receive a race shirt and a locally made finisher medal; event features include free race photos, live results, a post-race Great Harvest Bread breakfast, and free parking at the park.
