About the race
Zombie Dash is a Halloween-themed flag-chase event held on October 16, 2026 at Jordan River OHV Rec Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The course distance is 2.75 miles and the field is limited to 500 participants.
Runners begin with waist flags that represent "life." Zombies attempt to take participants' flags; if a participant loses all flags they are considered infected. Medals are awarded for survivors and for infected participants, and everyone receives a finisher medal.
The course follows a dirt motocross trail with hills, berms, and hidden turns. The trail can be muddy after recent rain. Parking at the venue is free. The event runs rain or shine, and registration spots may be transferred to another participant.
Zombies aim to take flags only and are not intended to touch participants. Participants are asked not to touch the zombies. Walking is permitted, and the event is presented as a Halloween run.
