Dimple Dell Blitz Backyard
The event takes place at Wrangler Trailhead in Dimple Dell Regional Park on a looped course of 4.167 miles. The loop is mostly on woodchipped trails, which the organizer says helps keep the course runnable in rain or snow. The route offers views of the snow covered Wasatch Mountains and is marked with pink flags, cones, and signs.
Three timed race formats are offered:
- 4 hour Blitz Backyard
- 8 hour Blitz Backyard
- 12 hour Blitz Backyard
Each format uses a loop once per hour structure. Runners must complete each loop within the hour to receive credit; placement is based first on distance completed and then on cumulative lap time in the Blitz format. Live results will update with each completed loop and show individual lap times and cumulative totals.
All runners who complete at least one loop receive a finisher medal. Runners who complete 12 loops receive a leather patch beanie recognizing the 50 mile achievement. The event is capped at 60 participants per time format to limit trail congestion.
The finish area serves as a central aid station with snacks, Tailwind electrolyte drink, locally provided Great Harvest Bread and pizza at certain race conclusions. Free photos will be taken on course and at the finish and provided without a watermark. Free paved parking is available nearby with space reserved for finish line setups.
