Urban Adventure Race : event overview
The Urban Adventure Race takes place on September 27, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the start and finish at RunnersWorld Tulsa, 3920 S Peoria Ave. Distances offered are:
- 26.2 miles (marathon)
- 50 miles
- 75 miles
- 100 miles
The event uses a loop-and-lap format: the main loop is 25 miles with a 1.2 mile out-and-back to make the marathon distance. Two laps equal 50 miles, three laps 75 miles, and four laps 100 miles. There is a 34-hour cutoff to complete any distance.
Course, support and rules
The course is unmarked; runners receive a map and turn-by-turn directions and must navigate the route themselves. Terrain is generally flat to gently rolling and sidewalks are available for most of the route. Aid is provided mainly via Quik Trip convenience stores located about every 2-3 miles and one aid point at RunnersWorld Tulsa offering water, sports drink and simple food. Runners should carry extra food and cash for purchases.
Pacers are allowed only after the first 25-mile lap. Crews may assist runners but may not move a runner forward. Mandatory items to carry include a cell phone, the provided direction sheet, about $25 in cash, and at least one water bottle or hydration pack (minimum 20 oz). Music devices are prohibited at night and littering is not allowed. Runners may leave one small bag at start/finish for 50 and 100 mile entrants; a shower is available at the finish.
