Death by 5k Tulsa
Tulsa, United States • 19-20 Sep 2026
Race Overview
The Death by 5k Tulsa is a signature 24-hour endurance event organized by RunStrong Events. The challenge requires participants to complete ten separate 5 km runs, totaling a 50 km distance over the course of a single day and night. Each 5 km segment begins every 2.5 hours. Runners must be present at the start of each designated interval and finish the distance before the next segment begins. This format is designed to test physical endurance and mental resilience through fatigue and sleep deprivation.
Course and Location
The event is held at the River West 23rd St Park in Tulsa. The course utilizes the local paved river trail and includes two crossings over the river. Because several segments take place during the night, participants are required to use illumination such as headlamps or hand lights. Between the scheduled runs, participants may choose to rest in their vehicles or set up tents in the grass areas provided at the park. There is also the option for runners to leave the site between segments if they prefer.
