Death by 5k Tulsa is a 24-hour running challenge held on Saturday into Sunday, September 19-20, 2026, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The event takes place at River West 23rd St Park, 432 W 23rd St, Tulsa, OK 74107. The course uses the paved river trail and crosses the river twice. Registration is initially limited to 300 participants.

Format and logistics

The event requires participants to complete ten 5k races, with one 5k starting every 2.5 hours over a 24-hour period. Participants must be present at the start of each 5k and finish that 5k before the next one begins. Running in low light is expected; participants must use headlamps, hand lights, or other illumination.

Between 5ks, participants may sleep in their cars or pitch tents in the grass areas at River West 23rd St Park. Prepared food is provided at four scheduled service times during the event, and snacks, water, and Gatorade are available throughout. Registered participants receive an event shirt and additional swag; finishers receive a coffin-shaped award.
